Chicks Dig the Longball!

That shirt says it better than anything else.  The Rays took advantage of the new Yankees Stadium launching pad to finish off a sweep of the Yankees.  The Bronx Bombers almost seemed like the Rays had earlier in the year, getting so close, yet so far.  When Joe Girardi brought in Mariano Rivera to face the teeth of the Rays lineup with the score tied, I had a feeling they'd get to him. I just didn't realize that CC and Longo would hit back to back homers!

For the first time this year, the Rays have a 3-game win streak going.  They were also able to beat a left-hander for the 2nd time this season (although, I'm not sure Steve Carlton would've enjoyed pitching in the new Yankee Stadium). Let's see if they can continue their domination of the Boston Red Sox in this weekend's three game set.  If they can, the future's looking really bright!
