Rays Round-up: Ozzie bulletin board material
The steak must stop. It must stop today. Last year, the Rays did *not* lose three games in a row at home... so, four would be a bad real bad omen at the start of the season. Maybe the return of Evan Longoria or some good old fashioned bulletin board material can get the boys fired up. Here's today's round-up. As always, my comments in italics:
Ozzie Guillen is still irked at the Rays domination over the White Sox last year. He says, "we should have swept them the way we played." Really, Ozzie? That's not the way I remember it. But, it goes to show that even the manager that got beat in the playoffs by the Rays still lack respect for the team. The Rays need to show Ozzie tonight just who's boss.
Meanwhile, the St. Pete Times Notebook writes that Ozzie says the Rays are no fluke. Here's what he said: "A lot of people think it's a one-year thing. I think the ballclub will be here for many years. The talent they have there … now they have the confidence. Now they know they can beat anybody." Okay, I get it. Ozzie's comments are open to interpretation depending on who he's talking to.
Keeping with the theme, here's a couple of YouTube Ozzie Guillen clips. The first is some sort of White Sox/ Wrestling crossover. The second is a good old fashioned Guillen meltdown.
